Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Evansville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Sanitary sewer, water main and storm sewer construction, street excavation and base course construction, street asphalt pavement construction, and for curb & gutter and sidewalk construction. The contract consists of the following approximate quantities: 8-inch PVC Sanitary Sewer (1,200 lineal feet), 6 and 8-inch D.I. Water Main (1,200 lineal feet), Storm Sewer (400 lineal feet), Street Reconstruction (3,900 square yards), 30-inch Concrete Curb & Gutter (2,400 lineal feet), 4-inch and 6-inch Concrete Sidewalk (12,000 square feet), Grass Restoration (2,400 square yards), and Hot-Mix Asphalt Pavement (800 tons). Appurtenances to the above construction items, such as service laterals and manholes are included, but are not listed above. The quantities are subject to change without notice prior to document distribution. Portions of this project, Longfield Street from Lincoln Street to Fair Street, are funded through the Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Instructions to bidders include depositing with the bid, security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. The City of Evansville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the City of Evansville within the last year or must be pre-qualified for this work 5 days prior to the bid deadline in accordance with Section 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bidders must be experienced in municipal pipeline construction.
