The Project consists of the following scope items: refinish concrete floors and refinish wood floors. The project will be bid and constructed as a Single Prime Lump Sum Contract with Add Alternate options to be added at the Owner's discretion. Bidders must submit one Bid Bond in an amount equal to 10% of the proposed Contract Price for the work to be performed at 43 Alexander Street, but not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000). Bid proposals will be received from bidders registered with the Division of Revenue and Department of Labor and classified by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction as General Contractors with a DPMC Classification of C006, C008 or C009, or Electrical Contractors with a DPMC Classification of C047. Other Special Categories may be required as set forth in the Request for Proposals. Bidders are cautioned to review all Instructions and Contract Documents with respect to scheduling requirements and obligations. All bidders are required to attend mandatory Pre-Bid Conference #1 and #2 (if scheduled at the discretion of Owner). No bid will be accepted from any bidder who fails to attend these required conferences. Bidders are encouraged to bring their teams to the Pre-Bid Conferences. Documents will be available electronically via web link or email attachment for a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25). Payment for the documents must be provided by money order or bank check paid to the order of North Star Academy Charter School of Newark, Inc. Bidders are required to comply with affirmative action and equal employment opportunity regulations.
