Van Buren Public Schools is seeking sealed bid proposals for the Belleville High School HS4 Security Access Control Hardware Project. Bids must be submitted on the provided forms, completed in full, and delivered to Van Buren Public Schools, 555 W. Columbia, Belleville, MI. 48111, Attention: Mr. James Williams, Director of Buildings and Grounds, prior to the specified deadline. Each proposal should be sealed in an opaque envelope marked with the name of the bidder and the project name. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at Belleville High School. Each proposal must include a bid security from a U.S. Treasury listed Surety Company or a cashier's check in the amount of at least five percent of the proposal, payable to Van Buren Public Schools. Proposals must be firm for sixty days. Accepted bidders may be required to furnish performance and payment bonds for the full contract price. Required accompanying documents include: a sworn and notarized familial relationship disclosure statement, a signed and notarized statement for compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act of 2012, a signed and notarized criminal background disclosure affidavit, and a non-collusive affidavit. Oral, telephone, or fax bids will not be considered. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the contract to other than the low bidder, to waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner.
