Shaler Township is requesting bids for the 2026 Road Paving Program, Contract No. 2026-02. The work includes furnishing all labor, material, plant, utilities, and services required for the milling, paving, and installation of asphalt wedge curb on various roads within Shaler Township, Allegheny County. The duration of the project is expected to be 90 days. Bidders must comply with prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry and must not discriminate in employment based on race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. All steel products used in the contract or subcontracts must be made in the United States. The owner reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. Bidders are required to meet the requirements of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the bidding documents. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
