Pavement Crack Sealing, including traffic control, on approximately 39 centerline miles of city street. Bids shall be submitted on the forms included in the bidding and contract requirements section. Project manuals, including contract documents, bid documents, and specifications, may be obtained by contacting the City Engineering office. Hard copies will be available for purchase and mailing. All Bids shall be addressed to the Director of Public Works/City Engineer and enclosed with the name and address of the Bidder and the contract for which the Bid is being submitted on the outside of the sealed envelope. Attendance at a pre-bid conference is strongly encouraged, as lack of information from failure to attend does not relieve the bidder of any obligations pertaining to their bid or contract execution. All work can start after June 15th, 2026, and shall be completed by August 15th, 2026. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the assessment of liquidated damages as specified by the contract documents. Bidders must submit a statement of financial ability, equipment, and experience in the prescribed work at least five days prior to the opening of bids. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of the bid. Forms for this statement can be obtained at the office of the City Engineer. Unacceptable qualifications will be disqualified from consideration of award. A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the City of Mequon in the amount of not less than five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid as a guarantee. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities, or accept any Bid that serves the City's best interest. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the opening, without the consent of the City. The selected contractor must, within ten calendar days after notification, provide the required contract documents for signature.
