Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and other services to perform the work described in the Drawings and Specifications attached as Exhibit A, and any requirements set forth in any other Contract Documents enumerated in Article XIX (hereinafter the "Work"). Contractor acknowledges and agrees that Contractor shall not utilize the specific designations, headings or other arrangements of information in the Specifications or on the Drawings as a basis for refusing to perform a portion of the Work as defined by the totality of the terms and conditions of this Contract. Contractor shall exercise a high degree of skill, care and diligence in the performance ofthe Work. Contractor warrants that Contractor will (i) perform, supervise and direct the Work using the Contractor's best skill and judgment, in a good and workmanlike manner and in the best and most expeditious and economical manner consistent with the interests of Owner, (ii) utilize his best skill, efforts and judgment in furthering the interests of Owner, (iii) perform the Work in strict compliance with applicable laws such that the Work, no later than the date for Final Completion will comply with all applicable laws, and (iv) furnish efficient business administration and supervision strictly in compliance with the Contract Documents. Contractor agrees to employ only orderly, competent and skillful people to do the Work and agrees that whenever Owner shall inform Contractor in writing that any person(s) or subcontractors on the Work are, in Owner's opinion, incompetent, unfaithful or disorderly, such person(s) shall be discharged from the Work and shall not again be employed on the Work without Owner's written consent, which consent may be withheld in Owner's discretion. This project is located in the NW sector of Harris County, west of Grand Parkway. It's located near the intersection of Katy Hockley Road and House Hahl Road. Within the Langham Creek watershed. Sealed bids will be received for furnishing all material, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary or incidental to the construction of the Bridgeland Prairieland Village Sec 93 Water Distribution System, Sanitary Collection System, Storm Drainage System, and Street Paving in Harris County, TX. The project includes approximately 2,075 LF of 8-inch waterline and appurtenances, 675 LF of 12-inch waterline and appurtenances, 1,850 LF of 8-inch sanitary sewer and appurtenances, 715 LF of 10-inch sanitary sewer and appurtenances, 1,625 LF of 24-inch through 54-inch storm sewer pipes and appurtenances, 6,615 SY of 8-inch subgrade preparation, 5,875 SY of 6-inch reinforced concrete pavement, 1,515 LF of 6-inch reinforced concrete curb, and 2,050 LF of 4-inch reinforced concrete curb. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide performance, payment, and maintenance bonds for the full contract amount. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
