The work consists of procurement and installation of replacement of existing washwater piping, 1.5 MG clearwell crack inspection and repairs, slide gate replacement in clearwell, installation of a vertical turbine pump with a VFD to provide backwash for the north filters, installation of a vertical split case pump in the South Filter Building to recharge washwater tanks, replacement of generator automatic transfer switch, providing load bank connection provisions for generator testing, rehabilitation of plant switchgear and generator, removal and replacement of power panel (PP4), installation of new VFDs for High Service Pumps 5, 8, 9, and 10, replacement of corroded electrical enclosures, cable and conduit in the South Filter Building, and replacement of MCC in the South Filter Building. Work shall also include all supervision, equipment, traffic control, granular backfill, pavement restoration (including milling), flushing, disinfecting, testing, and all appurtenances necessary to complete the work shown in the Drawings and the Specifications. All work must be ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. The Contractor is responsible for all work shown on the plans and described in the specifications pertaining to the Itemized Base Bid, regardless of the installation method chosen. Instructions to bidders include compliance with all requirements of the funding and regulatory agencies, non-discrimination, payment of Davis-Bacon wage rates, and submission of bids in the specified manner and location.
