Demolish and dispose of the existing conveyor belt system and furnish, deliver, and install a new conveyor belt system at Keegans Bayou. All work shall be completed at the specified destination point as listed on the electronic bid form and on the individual Purchase Order, in accordance with the City's Specifications and General Terms and Conditions. Pre-Bid Questions Deadline: April 7, 2026@ 5:00 pm (CT) The City of Houston ("City") is currently seeking bids from qualified Vendors to demolish and dispose of the existing conveyor belt system and to furnish, deliver, and install a new conveyor belt system at Keegans Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP M/WBE Goal: 4% Requests for additional information and questions shall be addressed to the Finance Department, Strategic Procurement Division, Joyce Baker, preferably by e-mail to joyce.baker@houstontx.gov or by telephone at (832) 395-3688 no later than the date and time shown on page one of this document. 2.1 CONVEYOR PERFORMANCE & DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: 2.1.1 The provided conveyor shall be designed and built for continuous service at all points within the specified range of operations, without overheating and without what the Engineer determines to be excessive vibration and strain. 2.1.2 The vendor will be fully responsible for the complete system installation, which includes parts delivery, required materials for installation, skilled and unskilled labor as needed, a technical person for review of installation work, frequent inspection, and on-the-job training to the plant operations upon installation completion. 2.1.3 The Conveyor shall be specifically designed for wastewater/sewage service. 2.1.4 The trough conveyor shall be of standard dimensions, built to limit gauges or formed to templates, such that parts will be interchangeable between like units. 2.1.5 The exact length of the Conveyor shall depend on the Manufacturer's design and type of equipment selected. 2.1.6 Ample room and facilities shall be provided for Conveyor inspection, repairs, lubrication, and adjustments. 2.1.7 The unit shall be packaged to prevent any damage to the unit during travel and off-loading.
