Instructions to bidders: Sealed bids addressed to Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 183 will be received electronically or at the office of LJA Engineering, Inc. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total bid amount, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the contract and execute the required bonds and insurance certificates within seven days after receiving the contract documents. If a certified or cashier's check is provided, the original must be delivered within one business day of receipt of the bid opening. Bidding documents may be examined at specified locations or obtained upon payment of the required fees. Electronic bids and securities must be submitted in compliance with the Owner's electronic bidding rules through the specified website. Bidders must register and obtain documents via this website.
