Demolition and site work for a residential development in Carmi, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.
Bids are being accepted for the demolition of the structure at 121 Woodlawn, Carmi, IL. The property should be seeded and strawed upon completion of the demolition. The project is funded by the City of Carmi through the Illinois Strong Communities Program Grant. Interested contractors must meet specific insurance requirements: workmen's compensation and employer's liability (not less than the statutory amount and $500,000 per person), auto insurance (minimum combined single limit of $500,000 for injuries and damages caused by vehicles on site), and comprehensive public liability (not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for the policy term). Illinois Prevailing Wage applies according to the Prevailing Wage Act. Sealed bids must be submitted at Carmi City Hall, 225 E Main Street, by 3pm on the deadline. Bidders must include a Statement of Contractor's Qualifications with the bid. The City of Carmi reserves the right to accept or reject any bid.
