Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Charleston, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The project involves repainting the steelwork and coating all substructure units and parapet walls, including the overhangs, of Bridges 3045N and 3045S located at mile 52.04 on the West Virginia Turnpike. For Bridge 3045N, approximately 18,788 square feet of paint and 10,745 square feet of concrete coating are required. For Bridge 3045S, approximately 24,167 square feet of paint and 12,615 square feet of concrete coating are required. Construction under this contract is to commence after notice to proceed and must be completed by October 31, 2026. Proposals must be submitted electronically via Bid Express. Prospective bidders must be prequalified according to SECTION 102.1 of the WVDOH Standard Specifications. A cashier's or certified check or bid bond, equal to five percent of the proposal amount or $2,000 (whichever is greater), must accompany each bid. Bids not accompanied by the required bid bond or check will be considered irregular. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any or all formalities in bidding, as it may deem in its best interest. Minority Owned and Women Owned businesses are strongly encouraged to submit proposals. All firms must certify that they practice Equal Employment Opportunities.
