Demolition, site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Charleston, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field.
The project consists of the construction of a new pickleball facility at 2855 Community Drive, Charleston, IL 61920. The work includes limited demolition, site construction related to pickleball courts such as excavation, concrete court pavement, asphalt pavement, sidewalk, court surfacing, fencing, site furnishings, and landscaping. Bidders must be properly licensed for their trades and able to obtain required insurance and bonds. A performance bond and a separate labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the total bid, as well as acceptable insurance, will be required from the successful bidder. Contractors and vendors are required not to discriminate and must comply with fair employment practices and the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, using wage determinations from the Illinois Department of Labor. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The City of Charleston reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. The contract may be awarded to the bidder providing the best combination of services and reasonable cost, not necessarily the lowest bidder, subject to approval.
