The work consists of the construction of approximately 6,187 linear feet of 24-inch and 354 linear feet of 30-inch sanitary sewer interceptor improvements within the Shewmaker Basin for the City of Bentonville Water Department. The improvements involve upsizing the existing gravity sewer, replacing associated appurtenances, and performing all related work as required by the plans and specifications to ensure a complete and operational system for the City of Bentonville Water Utilities Department. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid price. Personal and company checks are not acceptable. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds equal to the total bid price at the time of contract signing. Bidders must adhere to the bonding requirements as specified. The City reserves the right to cancel the request, reject any bid, and waive irregularities in accordance with the City's best interest. Submission of a bid constitutes agreement to these terms. The City encourages bids from qualified small, minority-owned, and women-owned business enterprises, and encourages general contractors to consider these groups in subcontracting.
