Pressure washing services are required to clean approximately 155,000 square feet of main entrances, walkways, patios, ramps, curbs, walls, overhangs, benches, trashcans, railings, pillars, stairs, bike racks, picnic pads, concrete landing areas, bus shelters, planters, bollards, lighted bollards, and other exterior entry features across multiple buildings at the C.W. Bill Young Medical Center, Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. The contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, materials, equipment, and supervision needed to ensure clean, neat, safe, and professional appearance standards. Work includes clearing dirt, stains, moss, algae, and debris; cleaning drains after rinsing; replacing any tiles, signs, or items damaged due to pressure washing; using strong commercial chemical cleaners followed by hot water rinsing; ensuring proper chemical wastewater disposal; sealing off areas during cleaning; and performing all work twice annually after hours to avoid disruption of patient care. Work must comply with applicable FAR, VAAR, SCA, ANSI safety standards, VA environmental and green purchasing programs, and OSHA requirements. Contractor personnel must meet conduct, safety, identification, and qualification requirements; provide field reports, material data sheets, and PPE information; and comply with all security, safety, insurance, and damage-repair obligations. A supervisor fluent in English must be on-site for all work, and contractors must maintain required badges, protective equipment, and adherence to traffic and access rules. Performance will be monitored through a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan with inspections and potential issuance of Contract Discrepancy Reports for noncompliance.
