Sealed bids are requested to supply all grades of RC, MC, Primers, and Emulsions for Athens County and all its villages and townships. The supplied asphalt products must meet or exceed the specified bid and ODOT standards, and be valid for the designated contract period. Vendors must ensure an ongoing, dependable supply of required products, and performance in use is the primary concern. The county engineer may sample and require laboratory testing of supplied materials at any time, with costs borne by the successful bidder. Material Safety Data Sheets must be provided for each supplied product. Failure to adhere to specifications or the supply of substandard materials will result in bid revocation and rejection of materials without payment. Bids must be marked "Asphalt Bid" on the envelope and submitted to the specified address. Vendors may obtain or examine all relevant plans and specifications at the posted location. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
