Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Tequesta, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.
Martin County is soliciting bids from licensed Contractors pre-qualified by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) under Work Class 27 (Minor Bridges) for a bridge removal and replacement project on SE County Line Road over the North Fork of the Loxahatchee River. The work includes demolition and removal of the existing vehicular and pedestrian bridges, followed by construction of a new four span, 205 foot long FDOT Florida Slab Beam Bridge. The proposed structure will be supported by a substructure consisting of 24 inch square precast concrete piles and cast in place concrete intermediate pile cap bents. The new bridge will provide two 12 foot travel lanes, two 6 foot shoulders, a 6 foot sidewalk, utility attachments, and all associated signage and pavement markings. The successful Consultant and its subconsultants shall comply with all terms and conditions of the Agreement and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to this Project. Verbal interpretations of the meaning of the Drawings, Specifications, Sample Contract or other Contract Documents will not be valid. Every request for interpretation shall be in writing and e-mailed to Purchasing at pur_div@martin.fl.us no later than 5:00 PM on Monday the week prior to the bid due date Question Deadline 04/17/2026 at 5:00 PM ET
