Site work for a civil project in Ashtabula, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The base bid consists of constructing a new concrete vault to reconfigure the existing sanitary sewer at the intersection of W. 14th St. and Michigan Avenue. The project includes manhole removal and installation, abandonment of existing sanitary sewer, removal and replacement of existing storm sewer catch basins and conduit, replacement of sanitary sewer conduit, sidewalk reconstruction, bypass pumping, testing of pipes and sewers, and landscaping restoration. Each bidder must provide a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, evidence of experience on similar projects, and comply with applicable wage requirements and equal employment opportunity regulations. Bids must be submitted on provided forms, state the unit price or lump sum, and be enclosed in a sealed envelope with specific labeling. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities or irregularities in bidding. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Question Deadline 03/30/2026 If any prospective bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans or specifications or any other Contract Documents, the bidder may submit to the OWNER a written request for an interpretation.
