Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Ashtabula, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a 4,145-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot.
This project consists of the replacement of approximately 4,145 square feet of 4" sidewalk along West Avenue between W. 55th Street and W. 51st Street. The project also includes curb ramp replacement, reconstruction of deteriorated curb and gutter, and the construction of pedestrian crossings at the intersection of West Avenue and W. 38th Street. Each bidder must furnish a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security must be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in Ohio. Proposals must include the full name of all parties, and evidence of experience with projects of similar size and complexity. The project must be completed within forty-five days of the Notice to Proceed date. A penalty of $500 per day will be deducted for each day the contract remains unfinished after this period due to misconduct or neglect. All contractors and subcontractors should, where practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor. Contractors must comply with equal employment opportunity requirements and Ohio wage requirements for prevailing wage rates. Bids must be submitted using the provided forms, state the Unit Price or Lump Sum, and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked "WEST AVENUE SIDEWALKS" with the bidder's contact information. The City of Ashtabula reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding.
