**As of May 18th, 2026 , the owner has determined a prequalified list of general contractors. This RFP has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City is seeking proposals from qualified proposers for the design, permitting, procurement, installation, commissioning, and warranty of a grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) system coupled with a battery energy storage system (BESS) at its municipal facility at 130 East Cota Street in Santa Barbara, known as the "Plaza Vera Cruz Community Building." The objective of this project is to meet as much of the building's energy load as possible with renewable on-site power at the lowest cost to the City.
