The City of Santa Barbara (City) is inviting proposals from qualified construction management and inspection firms to provide construction management services during the construction of the San Roque Water Main Replacement Project (Project), including construction management, observation, monitoring, inspection, and material testing services. The Project will replace approximately 4.1 miles of aged and/or problematic water main pipes in the San Roque neighborhood of Santa Barbara to maintain the structural integrity of the City's water distribution system and limit future main breaks in these locations. The Project site includes segments along San Roque Road from Foothill Road to State Street, as well as streets in the adjacent neighborhood. The Project will replace potable water mains with standard trenching techniques. Most construction will take place in the City's public right-ofway (ROW), however, there are two locations on Foothill Road that are in the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) ROW. The City will obtain and provide the encroachment permit for this work. The Project's construction award is anticipated in fall 2026. The start of the construction is tentatively scheduled for winter 2027 and is anticipated to conclude in early fall 2027. The construction contract is anticipated to be 270 calendar days The Engineer's estimate is $11,050,000
