This project consists of the replacement of existing concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter, concrete curb ramps, and all other items shown on the plans and mentioned in the specifications for a complete project. Improvements are to be installed along both sides of Mechanic Street from 10th Street to Market Street and both sides of Meigs Avenue from 10th Street to Market Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The bids shall be Unit Price for all work shown on the plans and called for in the specifications with unit prices for extras as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders in the specifications and submitted in duplicate on the State Board of Accounts Form No. 96. An executed State Board of Accounts Form 96a or similar document shall be required. The bidder must file with their sealed bid proposal, a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the total bid, payable to the City of Jeffersonville Board of Public Works and Safety. The above checks or bonds are to insure the execution of the contract on which such bids are made. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish, before commencing work, a performance, and payment bond to extend for a period of one year after final acceptance, in an amount equal to the bid price of the contract awarded to said Contractor and Certificates of all Insurance as described in the Contract Documents. Bidder's attention is called to the provisions of Indiana Code 5-16-6 "Discrimination by Contractors and Subcontractors Prohibited".
