Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Perform parking lot repair work at Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) B41 in accordance with the Statement of Work and solicitation requirements. The work includes demolition and repair activities associated with the existing parking lot, installation of a 4-inch open-graded drainage layer consisting of hard, durable crushed aggregate meeting the gradation requirements for Rapid Draining Material or Open Graded Material per UFC 3-250-01, Chapter 20, with a minimum permeability of 1,000 feet per day. The drainage layer shall be placed over a prepared VDOT 21A subbase to a compacted thickness of 4 inches and compacted using construction effort rather than density, specifically six passes of a 10-ton vibratory roller, to ensure stability without reducing permeability. A granular separation layer with a minimum 50 CBR or an approved geotextile fabric shall be installed beneath the drainage layer to prevent contamination from the subgrade. The contractor shall ensure uniform placement, prevent segregation, and protect the completed drainage layer from contamination or disturbance, with subsequent pavement placement occurring as soon as practicable. The Defense Logistics Agency will relocate the existing gazebo prior to commencement of work, and the contractor shall have no responsibility for this action. All work shall be completed as a complete and usable repair in accordance with applicable UFC requirements, FAR provisions, and Department of Labor wage determinations, with a period of performance of 60 days from contract award. The contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price, lowest-priced technically acceptable award, with past performance considered as part of technical acceptability. Liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day will apply for failure to complete the work within the contract time. Location: Defense Supply Center Richmond, 8000 Jefferson Davis Highway, Richmond, VA 23297 the estimated Magnitude of Construction for requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000.
