Site work and paving for a road / highway in Steubenville, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
** NOTE - all addendums must be acknowledged by signature and included in bidding packet. ** The work includes furnishing materials and performing labor for hot-mix asphalt concrete resurfacing on designated streets in Steubenville, Ohio. The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to: removal of existing asphalt concrete by milling where indicated, full depth pavement repair using hot-mix asphalt concrete where indicated, cleaning, tacking, and paving streets with asphalt concrete as specified, installing ADA curb ramps as specified, and adjusting to grade valve boxes, manholes, and catch basins as specified. The streets included in the contract are Wellesley Avenue from University Blvd to Franklin Ave, from Franklin Ave to Carnegie St, and from Carnegie St to Belleview Blvd. Instructions to bidders: Bids shall be on a unit price basis and must be written on proposal blanks furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty, which may be a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond as per Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code or a bid bond in the amount of 100% of the bid. Cash deposits are not accepted. The successful bidder must provide a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds. Bidders must be ODOT pre-qualified for at least 30% of the awarded contract amount using their own forces. Compliance with Ohio products and labor, equal employment opportunity requirements, and prevailing wage rates is mandatory. Bidder must obtain specifications from the City Engineer and register as a plan holder to submit a bid. Bidders are expected to examine existing conditions prior to bidding.
