Blum Construction has been selected as Construction Manager at Risk and will receive sealed proposals from prequalified bidders for Phase 1 of the Iredell County Farmers Market project in Troutman, NC. This phase involves construction of a new parking lot at the existing fairgrounds, adding 771 parking spaces and associated site work. Principal trade contractor packages being solicited are BP3100 Earthwork & Utilities and BP3212 Asphalt Paving. Additional packages may be added or deleted by the Owner and Construction Manager. Sealed bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope with required details as listed. No bids or supplemental documents will be accepted after the bid closing time. Bids will only be accepted from prequalified bidders, and the Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add prequalified bidders or reject any and all bids. No facsimile or email submissions are allowed. The process includes both in-person and video conferencing bid opening. There is a 10% MWBE participation goal, and MWBE subcontractors are strongly encouraged to participate, with support available for bonding or payment terms if needed. RFI questions must be submitted in writing using the provided form by the stated deadline. Trade Partner Support such as quick pay, modified insurance limits, bonding access, joint check agreements, and disaggregation of packages is available to ensure successful project outcomes.
