The goal of this project is for the Contractor to install fiber optic cable infrastructure for the GCRTA Trunk Line. The Contractor shall furnish and install all fiber optic cable hardware. The GCRTA shall furnish the fiber optic backbone and drop cables. The Contractor shall fusion splice all fiber optic cable drops per the contract drawings. The contractor shall perform sag and tension calculations and test the entire fiber optic cable plant. The Contractor's mandatory base bid shall be based solely upon the design and products in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor may propose alternatives (options) for GCRTA consideration, review and approval. Any alternatives (options) shall be presented in an entirely separate optional bid document that shall be separate from but may accompany the Contractor's mandatory base bid document.
