This segment of the Powhite Parkway Phase 1 improvements will improve existing Old Hundred Road (future Powhite Parkway) between Watermill Parkway and Charter Colony, including the intersection at Brandermill Parkway. This segment will connect to the Powhite at Watermill Parkway to the west and the Powhite at Charter Colony to the east. Chesterfield is proposing an innovative intersection at Powhite Parkway and Brandermill Parkway, a variant of a median u-turn (MUT) intersection, which operates safely and efficiently by reducing the number of conflict (or crossing) movements within the intersection. As of March 17, 2026, this project is included in the Chesterfield County Fiscal Year 2025 Capital Improvement Plan. A design firm for the Powhite Parkway Extension project has been selected, however a timeline for construction has not yet been established.
