FIMP Contract 3B is a structural project involving offshore dredging and sand placement along the ocean shoreline to build a berm to elevation +8.5 NAVD88 (+9.5 ft NGVD29) and to construct an offshore channel at Tiana Beach as part of a proactive breach response, with an estimated fill volume of approximately 1,900,000 cubic yards. The contract also includes two Coastal Process Features, CPFs #11 and #12, located on the eastern portion of Westhampton Island west of Shinnecock Inlet and Shinnecock County Park West. CPF #11 involves fill placement within the offshore channel and along the Dune Road bayside shoreline, along with groin removal. CPF #12, located at Tiana Bayside Park, includes bayside fill placement along the channel and shoreline and burial of existing gabions. The anticipated combined volume for the two CPFs is approximately 100,000 cubic yards. The contract further includes replacement of five pedestrian crossovers with new ADA-compliant structures and construction of four vehicular crossings. Location: Westhampton Island, Tiana Beach, and Tiana Bayside Park, Suffolk County, NY. Construction cost is in the range of $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
