The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR), Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Program, is requesting proposals for construction of the Catherine Creek Rivermile (RM) 42.5 Fish Passage Project located approximately 2 miles southeast of the City of Union, Oregon, Union County, adjacent to State Highway 203. The project scope includes construction of a cast-in-place vertical slot fishway, installation of access ramps, parking area expansion, and other site improvements described in the Project Design and Specifications. Construction activities include earthwork, grading, concrete form work, reinforced steel, cast-in-place concrete, grout, electrical, demolition, salvage and rehabilitation, off-site disposal, water management/implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs), and other specified project elements and features detailed in Project Drawings and Specifications. All work must strictly adhere to environmental permits, conservation measures, and design specifications. The Contractor must develop and clearly define a construction schedule and sequencing plan, with explicit consideration for operational schedules of CTUIRs adult spring Chinook brood stock trapping and collection and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlifes juvenile trapping and monitoring program. The designated in-water work window is July 1 to August 15, with any variances requiring advance planning and coordination. Contractor employees may be required to participate in pre-construction cultural resource training and must comply with the inadvertent discovery plan. Sensitive areas requiring avoidance will be flagged and staked onsite.
