A. The Project consists of the removal of the existing ceiling panels and provide new acoustical spray at the gymnasium ceiling at Willow Elementary School for Homewood School District #153, hereafter called the Owner, and is to be constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by Studio GC, dated March 17, 2026. B. Scope: The Work includes the work of all trades required; and all the labor, materials, and equipment necessary and incidental to the construction and completion of the Work. C. Work to be executed under one General Contract, including all trades. Submit requests for interpretation of the documents in writing to the Architect. Inquiries received five or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of the Bids will be given consideration. Sealed bids for the 2026 Life Safety Work - Gymnasium Ceiling at Willow Elementary School will be received. Lump Sum bid proposals are required. Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the School Board. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening date without owner consent. Checks or drafts of unsuccessful Bidders will be returned after the bids are checked. Successful Bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full contract amount, acceptable to the Owner. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked as SEALED BID. The School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding. All Bidders must comply with Illinois Law requiring payment of prevailing wages for public works. Each Bidder must satisfactorily complete the qualification process and provide required Qualification Documents along with the sealed bid. Bidding documents may be obtained electronically and reproduced at the Bidder's expense from the designated reprographics firm. A mandatory pre-bid walk-through for Prime contractors will be held at the specified date and time at Willow Elementary School. Only one walk-through will be scheduled and attendance will be taken. Non-attendance may be grounds for bid rejection.
