Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brookhaven, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a laboratory facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Brookhaven National Laboratory requires demolition of the existing Main Gate Entrance (Building 680), constructed in 1960, and full construction of a modernized Entrance Portal that enhances security, improves operational efficiency, and supports current and future Laboratory missions. Work includes providing all labor, supervision, materials except Government-furnished security booths, equipment, and services for demolition, site preparation, foundations, structural and architectural construction, roadway modifications, utility installations and tie-ins, security infrastructure integration, sidewalks, paving, lighting, signage, striping, testing, casework, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, landscaping, and commissioning. The contractor shall coordinate delivery, relocate, install, anchor, and connect two Government-furnished security booths. Construction shall be phased to maintain continuous site security and controlled access throughout the project.
