Sealed bids are solicited for the collection and disposal of refuse and recyclables within the Borough in accordance with the provided specifications. The specifications include an escalator charge related to changes in the contract tipping fee charged by the York County Solid Waste Refuse Authority. All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, bank money order, or bid bond with corporate surety in the amount of $2,500.00, payable to Winterstown Borough. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to the pricing for the first year of service within 20 days of award, and this bond must be renewed annually at the coming year's pricing. The Council reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities and reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 65 days after the opening date.
