Work generally consists of the construction of a Basketball Court and NFC Court, including but not limited to: grading, excavation, subgrade preparation and modified subbase; water service pipe, curbstop, and corporation; storm water intake and manhole; subdrain; 5" P.C. concrete sidewalk; 6" P.C. reinforced concrete pavement; pavement removal; painted pavement markings; temporary traffic control; shade structure; and erosion control items. All proposals must be made on official forms furnished by the Engineer and include both worded and figured prices. Proposals must be plainly legible, sealed, and addressed appropriately. A Bidder Status Form must be submitted with the bid. Bid security of at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount must be included in a separate sealed envelope marked 'bid bond.' Performance and Payment Bonds, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, are required from the successful bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty (30) days from the bid deadline. Contractor payments will be made monthly at ninety-seven percent (97%) of completed work per Engineer's estimate. Work may not commence before July 6, 2026, and must be completed within 25 working days once started, with all work finished by September 4, 2026. Liquidated damages are five hundred dollars ($500.00) per working day for uncompleted work after the contract period. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
