Sealed proposals are invited for the construction of greenhouses at Cataco School, Lacey's Spring, Priceville High School, Falkville High School, and West Morgan High School for Morgan County Schools in Decatur, Alabama. All general contractors submitting bids are required to visit the project sites and examine existing conditions prior to submitting proposals. Bidders must have general liability and workman's compensation insurance, and the project is to be bid excluding taxes. Proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the Architect or their copies. No proposal may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the scheduled bid closing. A certified check or Bid Bond, payable to Morgan County Schools in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, but not exceeding $10,000, must accompany each sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required upon contract signing. Bidders must comply with state licensing requirements and display their current license number on the outside of the bid envelope. Project documents are available through the Architect's website, and any addendums will only be provided to confirmed bidders. Printed sets of documents can be requested and must be returned in reusable condition within ten days after the bid opening. Completion time and a detailed scope of work are provided in the Project Manual. Contractors are to ensure proper supervision of all work.
