Proposals are invited for the Duck Pond Water Quality Improvements - Pond Edge Restoration project located in Blacksburg, Virginia. Inquiries must be submitted by 3:00 PM on March 23, 2026. This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to solicit proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Proposals are invited for the Duck Pond Water Quality Improvements - Pond Edge Restoration project located in Blacksburg, Virginia. The awarded offeror shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and services refresh and stabilize the duckpond edge as indicated in the plans for the upper and lower ponds that make up what is known as the Virginia Tech Duck Pond in Blacksburg, Virginia. Work involves use of rock ledges, cobble armor, stacked boulder and rock toes and native plantings for stabilization of the pond edge. The contractor is responsible for turnkey project/construction to include but not limited to the scope of work per the WSSI design documents dated December 3, 2025, as well as all construction protections, E&S controls, tree protections, plantings and cleanup.
