Work to be performed includes construction of a partially buried 2 million gallon AWWA D110 type 1 prestressed concrete reservoir, earthwork, underground utilities up to 26 feet deep, drainage systems, electrical and controls, and surface restoration. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of such bid proposal. The East Wenatchee Water District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or the bidding. No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding 60 calendar days. The District will affirmatively ensure that minority and women's business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex. All work performed on the project will be subject to state prevailing wage rates.
