Remodeling of a mixed-use development in San Mateo, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility; and educational facility.
Question Deadline: 4:00 P.M., Friday April 10th, 2026 Request for Information (RFI's) and Bid period and, SMFCSD questions relative to the building projects are to be submitted to SMFCSD Staff: Billy Tran, btran@smfcsd.net The work consists of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the following: move all furniture in and out of rooms during pre/post construction, provide wall protection; demo and remove the existing carpet, VCT/LVT, and wall base; furnish and install new specified moisture barrier system and provide proper floor preparation for all existing concrete subfloor areas receiving new flooring as per manufacturer specifications; fill all subfloor cracks with specified filler as per manufacturer specifications; furnish and install new wood underlayment in all areas receiving new flooring as per manufacturer specifications (portable modular classrooms only); furnish and install new specified entry walk off carpet tile, resilient plank flooring, resilient sheet flooring, top set coved wall base and all related sundries and accessories. Pre-qualification requirements: To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to have been prequalified by the District through Quality Bidders at www.qualitybidders.com. Pre-qualification applies to all bidding general contractors and subcontractors performing work under certain license classifications (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-15, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46) as first-tier subcontractors. Each of those subcontractors must also have been prequalified by the District. All pre-qualification questionnaires are to be submitted through Quality Bidders. For this project, the prequalification application must be completed, not the CUPCCAA list. Bidders must possess one or more of the following active and valid California Contractor Licenses: A, B, or C-15. Attendance at one mandatory pre-bid conference is required. Bid security (10% of bid), performance bond, payment bond, and compliance with prevailing wage and labor code requirements are also mandatory. Bidders and their subcontractors must comply with registration and qualification requirements under sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code.
