Remodeling of an educational facility in San Mateo, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
Question Deadline: 4:00 P.M., Friday April 10th, 2026 Request for Information (RFI's) and Bid period and, SMFCSD questions relative to the building projects are to be submitted to SMFCSD Staff: Billy Tran, btran@smfcsd.net The project consists of the following scope of work as indicated: Bid Package #2 - SMFCSD Bid No.: 26.03 - LEAD-Cottage Grove ES, Parkside Montessori, and Brewer Island ES As per specified locations and construction specifications provided by the District, the project consists of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the following scope: _ Move all furniture in and out of rooms during pre/post construction, provide wall protection _ Demo and remove the existing carpet, VCT/LVT and wall base _ Furnish and Install new specified moisture barrier system and provide proper floor preparation for all existing concrete subfloor areas receiving new flooring as per manufacturer specifications _ Fill all subfloor cracks with specified filler as per manufacturer specifications _ Furnish and Install new wood underlayment in all areas receiving new flooring as per manufacturer specifications (PORTABLE MODULAR CLASSROOMS ONLY) _ Furnish and Install new specified entry walk off carpet tile, resilient plank flooring, resilient sheet flooring, top set coved wall base and all related sundries and accessories. Pre-qualification requirements: To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to have been prequalified by the District through Quality Bidders at www.qualitybidders.com. Pre-qualification is required for all bidding General Contractors and Sub-Contractors, including those with certain license classifications (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-15, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, C-46) if they will be first-tier subcontractors. All pre-qualification questionnaires must be received through Quality Bidders. The Bidder is also required to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: A (General Engineering Contractor), B (General Building Contractor), or C-15 (Commercial Flooring and Floor Covering Contractor), with licenses active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and throughout the contract term. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for ten percent of the total bid price. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit is also required. All workers must be paid prevailing wage and comply with registration and qualification requirements of California Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1.
