The Town of Hancock is requesting proposals for the delivery and placement of NH DOT shim mix and ½’’ hot asphalt pavement at various locations on town roads. Work includes applying a tack coat of emulsion to areas to be shimmed and rolling with a 3-5 ton roller as soon as the hot asphalt has reached optimum rolling temperature. Materials must conform to NH DOT surface treatment asphalt mix. Required equipment includes a mechanical paver with a track drive system, a 3-5 ton roller, and a tack truck or wagon. Locations and estimated tonnage are to be priced separately as follows: - Middle Road (Route 137- Vatcher Road): 7730’ x 21’ – 1525 Tons, Top coat 1.5’’ – ½’’ HMA with tac. - Cavender Road (Route 202 – Gravel interchange): 4660’ x 21’ – 920 Tons, Top coat 1.5’’ – ½’’ HMA with tac. - Kings Highway (Hunts Pond Road intersection to Landing Road intersection): Reclaim, grade, roll, water – 6150’ x 22’ – 15,033 sq yds. This road will be prepared for base paving in 2027. Contractor to install offsets and pink top centerline markers. All tonnages and locations are estimates; payment is based on actual tonnage in place. Proposals must remain in effect for 30 days from opening, and any price increases must be communicated within 48 hours. Work is scheduled for mid-May–June and must be completed before September 15, 2026. The Town provides traffic control (excluding delays due to contractor's trucks) and supervision of location and shim thickness. The contractor provides appropriate equipment, manpower, insurance certificates, and load slips for payment. Work hours are Monday-Thursday, 6AM–6PM.
