Addition to an industrial development in Athens, Ohio. Completed plans call for the addition of a 60,000-square-foot industrial development.
Change the bid opening date from April 21 to May 5, 2026 at 1:00 pm (EST). The work includes a concrete floor addition, restroom build out, and installation of dock levelers for a 60,000 square foot manufacturing building with the necessary related work. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates as specified in the contract documents and attention is called to the Instructions to Bidders. The Athens County Port Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, increase, decrease, or omit items, and to award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested. The Port Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. The project consists of alterations to the existing Athens County Port Authority speculative building located at 39.381243, -82.176922 in York Township, Athens County, Ohio. The site is part of the Bill Theisen Industrial Park, which includes several existing industrial facilities at the intersection of Potson Road and Industrial Drive. The site is currently a shell building accessible along the western and northern sides via Industrial Drive. The work consists of installation of a concrete building floor including the addition of compacted aggregate base, installation of dock levers and associated electrical work, and installation of sanitary plumbing within the existing speculative building.
