The scope of work consists of PCC paving, grading, and drainage for apron reconstruction and taxilane reconstruction. Work categories include airport runway taxiway milling, airport runways, taxiways, access roads, aprons, concrete paving, electrical and controls, drainage, concrete pavement, electrical installation construction, concrete resurfacing services, concrete pavement removal, and asphalt or concrete paving. Bidders are instructed that sealed proposals for the repair and improvement work must be filed before 11:00 A.M. in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Le Mars, Iowa. The City of Le Mars reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or technicalities in any bid, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in its best interest. 3-19-0127-021-2026 AIP & 3-19-0127-022-2026 IIJA Project Location: Le Mars Municipal Airport, Le Mars, Iowa Runway 15-33 is currently 7820 feet long, with a 500 foot stopway on the north end. This project will remove the stopway and extend the runway 1000 feet to the north and 500 feet to the south. Finally, the existing portion of the runway will be repaved. The runway 33 glide slope will be relocated. The new runway 33 localizer has already been installed by FAA Technical Operations and only needs to be switched on. Runway 15 is currently served only by a localizer, which will remain in operation as it will be beyond the future RSA. Appropriate NOTAMS will be issued throughout the project.
