The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) is seeking CSLB licensed and qualified general and specialty trade contractors to perform residential dwelling repairs for owner-occupied homes throughout the City and County of Sacramento. The program serves low-income, owner-occupant homeowners, with maximum repair costs not to exceed $10,000 per household. Contractors must possess and maintain the appropriate California contractor license classifications, including General Building, Plumbing, Roofing, Warm-Air Heating and Air Conditioning, or Electrical. All repair work must comply with applicable building codes, inspection requirements, and be completed to SHRA's satisfaction. The scope of work covers health and safety code-related deficiencies requiring immediate attention in single-family, owner-occupied homes and mobile homes. Assignments are issued on a rotating basis, with each tied to a specific homeowner and property, and no guaranteed minimum volume of work. Contractors are responsible for obtaining all required permits, paying related fees, ensuring proper supervision of subcontracted work, maintaining insurance, and certifying compliance with labor standards. All work must be warranted for a minimum of one year. Contractors are required to handle their own tools and equipment, as no reimbursement will be provided. All proposal submissions must follow strict format requirements and address specified areas including qualifications, experience, and compliance with Section 3, M/WBE, and BABAA requirements. Bidders must use the provided platform for submission and comply with all stated requirements and procedures.
