Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brookings, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a 2,412-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for the demolition of a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Construct approximately 397 lineal feet of new curb and gutter, 2,412 square feet of sidewalk, 147 lineal feet of type C curb, 20 lineal feet of modified type C curb, 91 square feet of concrete block retaining wall, and 11 concrete access ramps. Improvements include approximately 220 cubic yards of roadway excavation, 470 square yards of subgrade geotextile fabric, 260 tons of asphalt concrete pavement, 480 tons of aggregate base, and foundation stabilization, as required. Construct approximately 10 lineal feet of new 12-inch storm drain, 61 lineal feet of new 8-inch storm drain, three type G2 catch basins, 6 lineal feet of 6-inch ductile iron water line, one 6-inch restrained joint transition coupling, and one fire hydrant assembly. Construct two mast arm mount Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) systems with street luminaires, three decorative light poles and luminaires, electrical service connection for the RRFB and street lights, electrical service connection for the decorative lights, junction boxes, conduits installed by horizontal directional drilling, conduits installed by standard trenching, conductors, controller system cabinet, service cabinet, signs, and other miscellaneous items. Other work includes demolition work, temporary protection and direction of traffic, excavation and embankment, ac pavement removal, curb and gutter removal, concrete surface removal, relocating signs with new posts and hardware, storm drain connections to existing structures, thermoplastic crosswalks and stop bars, thermoplastic arrows, new signs, landscaping, and other miscellaneous items. Bids not fully completed in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders will not be considered. A Bid Security executed in favor of the Owner in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the Bid is required. Bid Security is to be forfeited as fixed and liquidated damages should the Bidder neglect or refuse to enter into a Contract and provide suitable insurance certificates, bonds, and other required documents for the faithful performance of the work in the event the Bidder is awarded the Contract. Each Bidder must submit a First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form, Evidence of Authority to Sign Bid, and Evidence to do Business in the State within two working hours of the time for receipt of the Bid. Contractors and all subcontractors shall pay at least the state prevailing rate of wage as determined under state law. Work under this Contract will be partially funded with SRTS Grants. No Bid will be received or considered by the Owner unless the Bid contains: 1) a statement that Bidder will comply with the provisions of 40 USC 276a and state prevailing wage law and 2) a statement as to whether the Bidder is a resident Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive all informalities, and to accept such Bids that in the opinion of the Owner are in the best interest of the Owner. Est.
