The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services required to perform boiler installation, commissioning, freight transportation for arrival and departure, and the full decommissioning and removal of the rental boiler. Work includes integrating an 800-HP rental fire-tube boiler into the existing 125-PSIG steam grid, transporting the oversized boiler to the medical center with required escorts and permits, and providing all lifts, piping, fittings, and materials to complete all connection points. Tasks include setting the boiler at the designated location, ensuring structural clearance for underground tanks, and assisting with all final utility connections within ten feet of the facility's central utility plant interfaces, including steam, feedwater, natural gas, oil, blowdown systems, condensate return, and water chemistry lines. Work must adhere to all VA standards, safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes. At the conclusion of the rental period, services include boiler shutdown and cooling, safe decommissioning, disconnection of all utilities within ten feet, installation of blinds, dismantling temporary piping and supports, crane and rigging services to load the boiler for transport, site restoration within ten feet of the work area, cleaning the rental location, and transporting the boiler offsite as an oversized permitted load.
