The project generally consists of converting two existing suction lift pump stations to duplex submersible pump stations, and other appurtenant and related items of work. Each bidder shall submit with their bid a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond issued by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The bond shall be countersigned by a person under contract with the surety company or bond issuer as a licensed agent in the state of Louisiana, and residing in Louisiana. The amount of this check shall be five percent of the amount bid and serves as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract if awarded. Contractors submitting bids must be licensed under Louisiana License No. R.S. 37:2150-2164 and classified under Municipal & Public Works construction. The Bidder must show their license number on the bid and on the sealed envelope. Bids must be submitted only on the Contractor's Bid Form furnished by the Engineer. Attention is called to the conditions of employment to be observed under the Contract and the requirements for compliance with relevant federal and state laws and regulations regarding Women's and Minority Business Enterprise, Debarment and Suspension, Equal Employment Opportunity, and bonding and insurance. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
