Renovation of a museum in New Iberia, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Sealed bids are requested for general building construction work on Phase 4: Renovations to the Doc Voorhies Wing. Bids can be mailed to the City of New Iberia, Attn. City Clerk, or delivered to the Mayor's Office at 457 East Main St., Suite 300, New Iberia, LA 70560, during office hours or submitted at the bid opening. Bids will be opened and read in the City of New Iberia Council Chambers, City Hall, at the specified time and date. Contract documents are available electronically by contacting Allain Architects APAC. No hard copy sets will be provided. Every bid must include a bid security (certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond with power of attorney) equal to 5% of the total bid. Money orders or company checks are not acceptable. The project must be substantially completed in 160 calendar days after the NOTICE TO PROCEED is issued; rain delays are not accepted. Liquidated damages are set at $250 per calendar day. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
