This project involves the reconstruction of taxilanes and expansion of the apron at Mathews Memorial Airport in Tipton, Iowa. Work improvements include contractor quality control testing, preparation and management of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), installation and removal of silt fence, temporary seeding and mulching, mobilization, traffic control, construction staking, removal of PCC and HMA pavement, unclassified excavation, cement treated subgrade, supply of cement, installation of modified subbase, engineering fabric, placement of 6" reinforced and plain portland cement concrete (Class C), pavement marking (waterborne, with and without beads), minor adjustment of storm sewer intake, installation of 8" HDPE flared end section and pipe grate, seeding and fertilizing, topsoiling, hydraulic mulching, utility location and protection, and installation of mooring eye and bollard complete in place.
