Site work for a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The City of Calgary requires the services of a qualified firm to provide functional planning, preliminary and detailed design engineering, and architectural services for the Airport Transit Connection (East Leg) - Blue Line LRT to Calgary Airport project. The anticipated project phases and requirements include: assessment of the connection to the Blue Line LRT System; train technology re-assessment and recommendation; re-assessment of rail access to a maintenance and storage facility; maintenance and storage facility functional planning study; updates to all the Airport Trail functional planning studies to reflect the proposed Airport Transit Line; Airport Transit Line operation in Airport Tunnel; airport terminal station jurisdictional scan and scoping studies; completion of preliminary design for all work phases; project delivery model assessment; owner's engineer's role in case of a P3 project delivery method; completion of detailed design based on the preliminary design; provision of construction contract administration services (currently unfunded); and post construction administration services (currently unfunded). Question Deadline 04/16/2026 at 4:00 PM MT TIMELINE: Request for Proposals (RFP) for functional planning, preliminary and detailed design engineering has been extended by the owner. Further update upon award of the RFP. *Construction cost is to be determined.
