The work consists of the construction of a 3,298 square foot wood-framed addition to an existing wood-framed building, including concrete parking and other site amenities. The base bid will cover the complete building package with all exterior and interior finishes, concrete parking, and site amenities. Alternate Number One includes acoustic improvements in the existing building, while Alternate Number Two involves adding a generator. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond payable to St. Martin Parish Government, amounting to five percent (5%) of the proposed Base Bid plus all alternates, as a guarantee of contract execution. The bid bond must be issued by a qualified surety or insurance company. The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount from an approved company and meet specific licensing and insurance requirements. Only contractors licensed for Building Construction in Louisiana will be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after receipt. The successful bidder must supply all required insurance with carriers acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause.
