The work consists of modifications to the southwest corner of the Santa Ana Canyon Road and Royal Oak Road intersection to provide an ADA-compliant access ramp. This includes, but is not limited to, new curb and gutter, sidewalk, access ramp, replacement of guardrail, relocation of a catch basin and related storm drain improvements, replacement of a traffic signal pull box, pavement improvements, striping, and all related work necessary for the construction of the proposed improvements in accordance with the Project's Plans and Specifications. A 10% bid bond is required. Required License Classifications: "A" for prime contractors and "C-10" for traffic signal subcontractors. DIR Registration is required for prime and subcontractors. For bid evaluations, the City will evaluate the Total Base Bid Proposal. The lowest responsive responsible Base Bid bidder will be selected. Work under the Alternative Bid may be authorized at the City's sole discretion if within budget. The City reserves the right to reject all bids. All bids must comply with the "Invitation to Bidders" and "Instructions to Bidders". No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
