QQuestion Deadline 04/03/2026 at 12:00 AM MT Questions are submitted online Yes Project Description: The City of Manitou Springs, Colorado ("City") is soliciting bids from experienced firms to provide retaining wall replacement on Hydro St as a design-build construction project. This RFB is issued in accordance with the City of Manitou Springs Municipal Code and procurement policies, and all services will be performed under a subsequent Professional Services Agreement in compliance with City requirements and applicable laws. , Contract Term: The City will award this contract for this project only and does not guarantee any further or future work. II. Scope of Services General Description: A. Engineering Services: Provide any required engineering services for the Hydro Street Retaining wall. B. Construction Services: The selected contractor will provide the following professional service (as required): Permitting, Surveying, Demolition and haul away o the existing wall, and building of the new wall to standards. All construction must be made following safety standards and not limit automobile access to Barr Trailhead at the end of Hydro Street. The current wall is approximately 165 feet long and ranges from 6 inches to 22 inches tall. The new wall is required to be constructed of paver stone, concrete, or other mason material as approved by the city. All work must adhere to City industry standards and codes, and the contractor is responsible for compliance with Pikes Peak Regional Building requirements and all deliverables (survey, plans, reports, maps, etc.) for that project, and they shall become the property of the City. The Contractor will provide project costs for crews and equipment, anticipated mobilization time, and anticipated project completion time. The Contractor is responsible for providing all materials and equipment necessary for ordering, receipt of, fabrication, construction, and installation of this project. Traffic control, community engagement (door hangers), City excavation permits (including insurance and bonding requirements) are considered incidental to the project and are the responsibility of the contractor. All waste shall be disposed of by the Contractor. The work site shall be cleaned up on a daily basis by the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for damages, inside or outside the project area. The Contractor is responsible for their own confined space, roadway, trenching, and all other safety procedures. No work shall be done between the hours of 5:30 PM and 7:00 AM, nor at any time on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays, except with the written permission of the city or in the case of an emergency. If the project requires street closure - partial or otherwise, the Contractor shall provide all necessary traffic control. All traffic control personnel must at a minimum carry a current CDOT Flagger Certification. A Traffic Control Plan must be submitted to and approved by City staff at the pre-construction meeting.
